I did it...

I entered the blogity blog world. I've started this process over a dozen times, yet never clicked the publish button. It all felt a bit arrogant to think that anyone would want to read these posts, so my anxieties would get the best of me. Delete, delete, delete. Do I really have enough to share? Erase, erase, erase.

But this is it, I am committing to putting it all out there. Since I am going to open myself up to the scrutiny, I think a few disclaimers are in order:

  1. Although I am a certified English teacher, I am not a human grammar book or dictionary. As my 6 year-old son, Aidan once told me, "I am a work in progress and corrections should be expected." Save your they're, their, and there lessons for your Facebook statuses. While it may be you're pet peeve, people who correct grammar are mine and its my blog. (Yes, I did that on purpose.)
  2. I talk about my kids...a lot. They are my greatest joy and let's face it, they provide all the material.
  3. I am not a perfect parent. My kids will chew with their mouths open (pipe down, I'm working on it) and say inappropriate things to inappropriate people at inappropriate times. Wait, does that make it all perfectly appropriate? Maybe not, but it is usually funny (or I am laughing to keep myself from crying.) So if you are easily appalled, offended or disgusted (my kids can be kind of appalling, offensive and disgusting), feel free to click on the little red box with the white X in the top right hand corner. No one is stopping you. Wait...just kidding.

I think that does it. Thanks for coming along for the ride and I look forward to seeing where this road takes us!
